Me Made May Planning

Me Made May starts today! I wear something handmade – at least a shawl or a pair of handknit socks – most of the days anyways, so rather than challenging myself to wear more, I wanted to focus more on the actual making. Four weeks, four projects – that’s not too ambitious?

#1 Finish that pile, and it is literally a PILE, of sewing WIPs pictured above. It’s mostly just undies and leggings waiting for the waistband elastic.

#2 A Vilma dress from the Finnish sewing pattern book Mekkotehdas aikuisille in this pretty butterfly knit. I’ve made one Vilma before so I already know what to modify in the pattern to make it fit better.

#3 This pretty pintuck dress from the cover of Ottobre Design Woman, issue 5/2008. I’ve got a lovely minty green polka dot cotton lined up for this.

#4 At least one (hopefully more) basic tunic with pockets in some goes-with-everything neutrals. I’ve sewn one Ehta tunic but I want one without a hood.
