Linnea Mitts
€7.50
Linnea Mitts hark back to yesteryear’s long evening gloves that were a part of ladies’ formal wear. These feminine fingerless mitts showcase the interplay between different stitch patterns, textures, and yarn weights.
The mitts are knit from the cuff up in the round. The delicate lace cuffs knit in silk mohair will keep your wrists warm in the temperamental spring weather. The hand portion of the mitts are knit in sturdy yet soft sock yarn with a dainty slip-stitch pattern on the back. Open at the top, the mitts keep your fingers free for important tasks.
The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology. Both written and charted instructions are given for all stitch pattern.
Linnea Mitts were the April 2021 pattern for the Kässäkirstu yarn subscription box highlighting Finnish female artists. The two Wool Me Once Fibers yarns used in the pattern draw color inspiration from Maria Wiik’s late 19th-century painting Linnaea Borealis.
