13 Sweaters in 2013: Aidez

Seeing the Full Circle Cardigan pattern put me in a sweater-knitting mood. I’d bought yarn to make the owls sweater by Kate Davies and was ready to cast on, but then had a last minute change of heart about the color. Did an advanced search on Ravelry and realized I had just enough yarn for Aidez. (Turned out I had plenty, one full ball more than I needed.)

  • On Ravelry: Aidez

  • Pattern: Aidez by Cirilia Rose

  • Yarn: 835 yd (764 m) of Novita Isoveli in color #573

  • Needles: 6.5 mm

  • Mods: Knitted seamlessly, back and fronts in one piece, sleeves joined at the yoke.

I made some mistakes in the cable patterns, the biggest being the same one as in the original sample Cirilia knit. It was too late to rip back so I used Yarn Harlot’s quick fix to duplicate stitch over the incorrectly crossed cables (which totally saved my ass).

This was such a quick knit I decided to join the 13 Sweaters in 2013 group on Ravelry. Totally doable! Not at all crazy!
