Garment Sewing

Watching the Great British Sewing Bee made me want to try sewing my own clothes. Before, I'd only sewn projects bags where sizing and fit doesn't really matter so this was completely different. And I'd never sewn with knits before.

These are the first practice garment pieces I made on the sewing machine. And see that stripe matching! Patrick Grant would be proud.

Tunic

  • Pattern: basic raglan sweater ("raglanpaita") from Joka tyypin kaavakirja II

  • Size: Small

  • Fabric: viscose single jersey from Eurokangas

  • Mods: lengthened and widened the hem, added ribbing to cuffs and neckline
