Cissus
Utter the word “intarsia” to knitters and you get a collective sigh of disgust.
What’s even worse? Intarsia in the round. (I’ll let that sink in.)
This is exactly what the sock designer extraordinaire Tiina Kuu had in store for us brave enough to attend the Kierot Puikot 2015 knitting retreat this spring. The pattern was exclusive to retreat attendees for the first six months. What’s great about being a lazy-ass blogger who’s only now posting about the socks is that the pattern is just about to be released to the greater public. :D So you can enjoy them too!
On Ravelry: Cissus
Pattern: Villiviini by Tiina Kuu
Yarn: 230 meters/252 yards of Holst Garn Highland in #03 Granite (main color) and 36 meters/39 yards of Kraft Hand-Dyed BFL Sock in Matcha (contrast color)
Needles: 2.5 mm
And intarsia in the round is really not as scary as it sounds, just a bit fiddlier.
