Olympian Shawl

The 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio end today and so do the 2016 Ravellenic Games. My Olympian effort was to combine two of the biggest crafting events of the summer: dye some wool, spin it during Tour de Fleece and knit it during the Ravellenics.

  • On Ravelry: Layla

  • Pattern: Layla Beaded Shawl by Deby Lake

  • Yarn: Autumn’s End, 455 m/498 yd of handspun Corriedale

  • Needles: 4.5 mm Cubics

  • Mods: 8 lace and garter-stitch sections, finished with 12 more rows of garter stitch, added beads only on every second picot on the bind off.
