Big Skein, Big Plans
Phew, the big combo spin I started in the last week of Tour de Fleece is D.O.N.E.
Both braids were part of a 2013 spice-themed fiber club, along with a lovely green Norwegian from Lanitium Ex Machina that I already spun up during the 2014 Tour. I never paid much attention to these braids because they were red. And I don’t do red. (I’ve even tried to destash them, with no luck.)
Once I actually took them out of their bags, they were not just red. There was fire, orange, rust, fox, coral, salmon, squirrel, brown… all sort of shades! The combo’d skein turned out pretty interesting and also much more orange than I’d expected.
On Ravelry: Red Hot Spicy Combo

And I’ve already got big plans for the skein: I want to spin some natural black to go with it and knit them all into a colorwork cardigan. Top down, of course. Possibly steeked. Yikes.
