The Woolly Thistle Sweater KAL 2020
Fall is prime sweater knitting season. This year I'm honored to be invited as a participating designer in The Woolly Thistle's third annual sweater KAL. ❤
The Woolly Thistle is an online yarn store located in New Hampshire on the north-eastern coast of the United States. The shop specializes in carrying the finest yarns European and UK-based yarns such as Blacker Yarns, Garthenor Organic, and Jamieson & Smith from the UK or Lopi, Rauma, and Tukuwool from the Northern Europe.
Each fall the shop organizes a sweater knit-along and this is now their third year. The rules of the KAL are simple: knit or crochet any adult-sized sweater in any weight of yarn. The yarn, however, must be at least 80% purchased from The Woolly Thistle at any point in time. They ship worldwide so you can join from any corner of the globe!
Note: this post contains links to Ravelry. The new look of Ravelry.com is known to cause eye strain, migraine, and seizures. Proceed with caution, especially if you're prone to neurovisual symptoms. The links are clearly marked so that you know to avoid them.
The sweater KAL runs from October 1 to November 22, 2020. You can join the knitalong in The Woolly Thistle's Ravelry group, Facebook group, or on Instagram with the hashtag #twtsweaterkal2020. But that's not all!
All participants who finish their sweaters by the end of the KAL on November 22 are entered into a prize draw. The grand prize is a $100 gift certificate to The Woolly Thistle but there are also lots of smaller prizes offered by the participating designers. I'm throwing three free patterns in the mix! You can see all the prizes in the first post of this Ravelry thread.
Participating designers are also generously offering discount codes for their patterns. Use the coupon code TWTSWEATERKAL2020 to get 20% off all my sweater patterns. The coupon is valid until October 2, 2020 both in my Ravelry and Payhip stores.
